Sothink Web Video Downloader is a Firefox add-on designed to let users save web video to their hard drives for later use.

Once you have installed Sothink Web Video Downloader and reset Firefox, a small icon next to the address will appear. Like similar add-ons, this icon will activate and light up whenever video is available to download.

Downloading videos with Sothink Web Video Downloader is simple enough. Just tap the icon and follow instructions. Video will be downloaded in the source format, which you can watch with a bundled FLV player, or your own media player.

Sothink Web Video Downloader works, but it's not quite as user friendly and smooth as add-ons like DownThemAll. The special download manager is outdated and the add-on lacks a dedicated Preferences area. This extension is not officially supported by Firefox.

Sothink Web Video Downloader does what it promises, but is outshone by much better official Firefox add ons.
